Getting on with it in the glaze room ! A gang of cleaners descended on the pottery and glaze room one sultry August day. They did their very best to render it perfect for the Autumn term !
Walls were washed, boards and tiles cleaned and sorted, drawers tidied , glaze buckets scraped and cleaned, and seemingly endless shelves were wiped.
No task was too small ! Faces reddened and sweat dripped – or shouldn’t I mention that ? On it went – the trouble with clay is that you think you have cleaned it but as soon as it has dried and you turn around – it looks dirty again !
We were very well managed by Nicole and her efforts in pulling the day together are much appreciated.
