Fine Art Textiles is PSAD’s new course held at the 3D Campus by PSAD tutor Jane Millar. The work by the first cohort of students is currently on show at the main school in Oxford Road.
The course allows students to work creatively with materials and processes usually associated with textiles. It provides opportunity to explore and combine a variety of accessible techniques. In the first terms students have explored hand stitch and freestyle machine stitch, working with found objects and materials, and simple tapestry weaving. The artworks on show include work-in-progress, experiments and more finished pieces.
