POTTERY MASTERCLASS with MIAE KIM *Now fully booked

Korean potter, Miae Kim, is known for the exquisitely decorated surfaces that define her work. She achieves this by combining multiple techniques such as inlaying or sgraffito, freehand carving and painting with slips and terra-sigillata. Her work is both thrown and handbuilt but, for the purposes of the class, students will learn how to apply these techniques by making slab built boxes to decorate. Ready-made slabs will be available as will all the decorating materials.
