The latest Friends Lecture was held right after Friends AGM in School at Oxford Road.
A short review and impressions by Jane Allen, the Friends Committee member who organises the lectures.
Tim Pond, the critically acclaimed wildlife painter, gave an informative and comprehensive lecture at PSAD on Saturday evening. He demonstrated how understanding the anatomy of animals can help make drawings full of life and movement. The lecture was illustrated with many pictures of Tim’s work, from their beginnings through to the finished article as he explained his techniques for achieving his wonderful drawings and paintings.
The books Tim has produced, Drawing and Sketching Animals and Watercolour the Natural World , were very popular and will be on sale at the Christmas Fair on December 4th.
