London Gallery Weekend was happening all around town during the weekend 13 – 15 May 2022 – a free-entry public event celebrating art in all its forms and London art galleries, with over 150 participating renowned and emerging art spaces.
Many of the galleries are continuing their open-door shows and exhibitions so the public has opportunity to visit – check the information and listings of galleries on their website Here.
Below are few pictures taken by Sniez Torbarina of two galleries in Peckham Rye Lane, with their shows during the LGW.
First gallery Bosse & Baum, held a show of artworks by Caterina Silva, an artist from Rome, curated by Alfredo Cramerotti, a curator at Mostyn, a contemporary gallery in Wales. The show comprised of Caterina’s art work made in Rome and in Dolomites. They have a common tread of how she uses colour and background, and also differences which, to me seem to emerge from the sentiments and sensations, maybe facilities, which accompany her in each environment.
Second is Copeland Gallery, which held an exhibition Fact Fiction Fantasy 2022, showcasing the art by eleven artists expressing different themes of society, heritage, family, activism. An engaging art comprising photography, video art, ceramics and installations.
